Chief Executive Officer
Jason is an experienced professional in the areas of the Fire Service, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management and Public Health. He has multiple years exposure to these particular fields with a combination of experience, education and certifications. He has held a mix of roles from entry level to supervisory level encompassing both functional responsibilities at the technical level to teaching and management at the supervisory level. He holds a Masters of Public Health, a Masters of Arts in Emergency & Disaster Management, a Bachelors of Science in Fire Administration and an Associates of Applied Science in Fire Science along with a Professional Development Certificate from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and is certified up to the Executive Fire Officer Level (Fire Officer IV).
He is also finishing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in which all of his clinical medical training has taken place during the COVID19 Pandemic. He holds the following certifications by the National Board on Fire Service Professionals Qualifications (Pro board): Firefighter I & II, Fire Officer I, II, III & IV, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor II, Airport Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Hazardous Materials Operations with Personal Protective Equipment Competency, Hazardous Materials Operations with Product Control Mission Specific Competency.
Jason is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician and certified by the New Jersey Department of Health as an Emergency Medical Technician. He is also certified by New Jersey Division of Fire Safety for Firefighter I & II, Aircraft Rescue Firefighter, Incident Management Level I, II & III, Fire Officer Level I, II, III & IV, Fire & Emergency Services Instructor Level II, Drill Ground Instructor and Hazardous Materials Level I , II & Operational Competencies 6.2 & 6.6 . Lastly, he is certified by the National Fire Academy and the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety as an Incident Command System (ICS) 200, 300 & 400 instructor. He is also has been awarded associate member status with the Institute of Fire Engineers, is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Medicine Resident's Association and National Eagle Scout Association, along with being a book reviewer for Jones & Bartlett Publishing.
Prior to his departure for medical school, Jason also strongly advocated for the removal and prohibition of emergency services workers consumption of alcohol after controversially removing it from his own firehouse his second term as President.
